Crisis Respite Residential Program

In a calming environment, individuals experiencing a psychosocial crisis or in need of a planned respite stay, find support and safety while working toward crisis recovery goals.

In partnership with Dunara Homes for Recovery Inc. (Dunara),  WRHMH provides a 24/7, short term, voluntary, non-medical, supportive residential environment.

A six-bedroom house is located in Kitchener with two additional spaces offered in an existing group home operated by Dunara in Guelph.  The program provides both an environment and assistance for people to work on issues related to their present situation.  Staff assists individuals experiencing crisis by providing active listening, connections to resources, and support with the activities of daily living.

The program also provides caregivers with short term care relief.  Sometimes, you just need a break.  Crisis Respite provides care for your family member enabling the caregiver to take a much needed break to re-energize themselves with a sense of confidence that their family member is being well supported.

Referral Process – for more information or referrals to the Crisis Respite Residential Program, please call 519 576 7431 or 1 866 797 7431 to speak with a Crisis Respite staff member.
