Our History
Officially established in 1980, Waterloo Regional Homes for Mental Health Inc. has been serving the community for 30 years. But our roots go back even further.
Our Mission, Vision, Values
Waterloo Regional Homes for Mental Health Inc., is a recovery-oriented, community-integrated agency that focuses on improved quality of life and enhanced independence for people experiencing mental health issues by providing access to affordable housing and flexible, individualized supports.
Our Board of Directors
The board is composed of approximately a minimum of two representatives in each of the following categories: consumers, family, community representatives, and mental health and addictions services providers.The board is responsible for the Multi-sectoral Service Accountability Agreement (M-SAA) entered into with the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network (WWLHIN), our primary funder.
Resident Council
Resident Council welcomes the involvement of any individual who receives housing and/or support services from Waterloo Regional Homes for Mental Health Inc. This group meets monthly to socialize, and plan special events and activities.
Our Video
In 2009, WRHMH produced a video ‘starring’ several of our consumers. These consumers welcomed the opportunity to talk about our organization and the difference we have made in their lives.
